Garlic & lime steak street tacos with fresh salsa on my new George Foreman Flexe Grill!

So excited that the new Flexe Grill has launched - the grill opens 180° so you get more out of it. I made these steak tacos by grilling the steak with the lid closed (look at those grill marks!) and then got my tortillas hot and ready for their toppings by opening the grill all the way.

Ingredients: (makes 4 street tacos)
1 sirloin steak (1 inch thick)
1 tsp garlic powder
2 limes
2 pinches salt
1 small dash of olive oil (optional)
+ tortilla, toppings of choice (I went for fresh salsa, red onion, avocado & crispy tortilla chips)

Sprinkle salt and garlic powder and juice of one lime over both sides of your steak. Leave to marinate for 8-10mins. Heat your grill up in the meantime, and when it’s ready, pop your steak on and put the lid down. Cook for 4-5 mins (or to desired level of cooked). Then when ready, remove steak and cut into bite-size pieces. Open your grill (carefully with a kitchen towel or oven glove as it may be hot) and place your tortillas on for a few minutes. Flip and then remove. Load up and add your toppings! Finish with a squeeze of lime & enjoy!

I’ve been really impressed with the Flexe Grill so far, not only with it’s 180° hinge, but also the grilling power, it adds grill lines like no other! It’s also got a really nice design which makes it easy to store (esp. Great living in a London flat). Looking forward to making some burgers next on this with buns on the same grill -- so good!!
