When approached to try Jack Daniel’s Barbecue Sauces to create a recipe to share - I couldn’t think of anything better, or as simply delicious to make than CHICKEN WINGS 🍗
.
Rather than creating an extravagant and difficult to create marinade for the wings, I’ve gone easy and tasty (finger-licking)! .
See recipe below, created in collaboration with jackdanielsbbqsayces.com, and JUST in time for BBQ SEASON 🍗🍖🥩🌽
.
Ingredients:
1kg of chicken wings
2.5 cup Jack Daniel’s BBQ sauce (Smokey sweet was my fav)
6 tbsp honey
5 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp paprika
3 green onions (chopped to put into marinade & drizzle on top afterward)
.
Recipe:
1. Place all wings in a glass dish
2. Pour over 1.5 cup Jack Daniel’s Barbecue Sauce
3. Add 3 tbsp honey and mix wings up so thoroughly coated in sauce + honey
3. Sprinkle 3 tbsp garlic, 1 tbsp paprika and 2 green onion chopped, again mix up so thoroughly spread all over all the wings
4. Leave to marinate for up to 24 hours in fridge
5. Once ready to cook, preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius
6. Lay wings out evenly on foil covered oven tray and place in oven to cook. Set timer for 20 minutes.
7. While wings start to cook, mix up remaining ingredients (minus green onion) so 1 cup Jack Daniel’s Barbecue Sauce, 3 tbsp honey, 3 tbsp garlic powder and 1 tbsp paprika in a cup and set to side.
8. After 20 minutes, take wings out of oven and apply coat of sauce generously and then put back in the oven. Set timer for 25mins.
9. Check wings free another 25mins, they should be starting to crisp/brown on top. If they are not yet crispy, check again in 5 minutes (and leave in until they are crispy and slightly blackening in some areas). 10. Once fully cooked, and crispy - remove from oven and serve up hot on a bed of crunchy corn nuts, sprinkled with more chopped green onion! Put some more sauce on the side for those super sauce lovers 🍽🥄
.
Jack Daniel’s Barbecue Sauces are available nationwide from Sainsbury’s, Tesci, ASDA and Waitrose. I just pop over to my local sainsbos to grab a bottle (they go fast, as they are so easy to use up drizzling and making all my bbq meals super sticky and delish!) 🤗
